On June 24, 2013, the U.S. Supreme Court granted the United States’ petition asking the Court to review the D.C. Circuit Court's decision on CSAPR.

EPA has not taken action to implement CSAPR since the rule was stayed by the D.C. Circuit in December 2011. If market participants wish to use the CAMD Business System to record transfers of CSAPR allowances, they may continue to do so until further notice. When any remaining legal proceedings with respect to CSAPR have been concluded, EPA will determine what further action may be appropriate regarding the CSAPR allowances held in participant accounts at that time.
